Offerred for sale is a meticulously restored Themodist Metrostyle Pianola. This instrument was thought to be one of a group
of eight that was originally constructed for and displayed at the St. Louis World's Fair at St. Louis, Missouri in 1904.
It was later determined by extensive research that only seven were originally made for that purpose. It was made by the AEolian
Orchestrelle Company in London and is currently part of the Prichard Collection.

Many Pianolas were made is the early years of the Twentieth Century, but few boast the rare Themodist Expression system- a
forerunner to the elaborate Duo-Art reproducing pianos of the 1920s and early 1930s. The system, with which this Pianola
is equipped, renders a nearly human performance when 65-Note snakebite expression rolls are used. This particular Pianola
is also equipped with a manual over-ride that permits the pianolist (the person pumping the pedals)to interject a great deal
of expression into the music by manipulating the special accent box.
